By providing your personal data to LUSOPAY, you acknowledge that you are of legal age and authorise the collection and processing of your personal data under the conditions set out below.

LUSOPAY has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who may be contacted by email at dpo@lusopay.com. Correspondence should be addressed to Dr José Ribeiro.

Purpose of the collection of personal data

LUSOPAY collects personal data for the following purposes:

a) To receive requests for information about LUSOPAY's services.

b) To receive applications from agents, partners or employees.

c) To collect data enabling the distribution of marketing communications, such as newsletters.

d) To provide payment services.

Data collected

Name, email address, landline and mobile telephone numbers, postal addresses, location data, IP address, date of birth, nationality, marital status, National Identity Card (ID Card), passport, Tax Identification Number (TIN), academic qualifications, IBAN, financial transactions, professional information, financial and banking information, attempts to access LUSOPAY's information systems, and preferences regarding the preferred method of communication.

LUSOPAY collects information from data subjects through forms available on its website, home banking, mobile applications, email and paper forms.

Certain data fields are mandatory. Users will be informed whenever a field is mandatory. Failure to complete the mandatory fields will make it impossible to analyse the information for the intended purposes or to provide the requested services.

LUSOPAY will retain personal data throughout the business relationship, except where a longer retention period is required to comply with legal obligations or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. In the case of newsletter subscriptions, personal data will be retained until the subscriber unsubscribes.

Data recipients

As a general rule, LUSOPAY does not disclose personal data to any third party, except to police authorities, judicial authorities, public authorities and central banks.

LUSOPAY will disclose personal data at the request of the data subject. Where the user uses software integrated with the payment services marketed by LUSOPAY, LUSOPAY will communicate payment information and the associated personal data to those platforms.

Personal data is stored by LUSOPAY and by an external service provider. The contractual relationship with that provider is governed by an agreement defining the security measures and organisational arrangements applicable to the processing of personal data and specifying that the provider shall act only in accordance with LUSOPAY's instructions.

Right of access and rectificaton of personal data

Data subjects have the right, at any time, to access, rectify and erase their personal data.

These rights may be exercised in writing by sending an email to dpo@lusopay.com or by post to the registered office of LUSOPAY.

Transfer of data outside the European Union

No personal data will be transferred outside the European Union.

Protection of personal data

LUSOPAY has implemented the necessary measures to ensure the security of personal data and to prevent unauthorised use or access, alteration, destruction or accidental loss.

Among the various measures adopted to protect personal data are firewalls, access control levels, backup procedures and disaster recovery procedures.

Certain features of the platforms may only be accessed by entering valid login credentials. For this purpose, users must have a username and password to access the LUSOPAY platforms.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials in order to prevent unauthorised access to their account and the associated personal data. This includes, for example, restricting third-party access to their computer, using secure connections (HTTPS) and logging out of the LUSOPAY website after completing each session.

Newsletters

Any visitor, whether or not they are a LUSOPAY customer, may subscribe to LUSOPAY newsletters.

Subscribers are responsible for managing, updating or removing the information relating to the sending and receipt of newsletters.

All newsletters sent by LUSOPAY include the option for recipients to unsubscribe from one or more newsletters, as well as the option to forward them to friends or acquaintances.
