About Lusopay

A Portuguese payment institution serving businesses and merchants.

Lusopay is a Portuguese payment institution that provides businesses and merchants with solutions to accept payments via Multibanco, MB WAY, PayShop, cards, direct debits and Pay by Link.

The activity began in 2007 and, in 2011, following a legislative change requiring authorisation from Banco de Portugal, that authorisation was obtained to operate as a payment institution. In 2014 the company was renamed LUSOPAY, Instituição de Pagamento, Lda.

Lusopay is registered with Banco de Portugal under no. 8700 and authorised to operate in every European Union country, subject to the supervision and rules applicable to the sector.
